This section informs you of some considerations that you should
take into account especially when using devices in potentially
explosive atmospheres. Always read the user manual before
operating with the pump.
•
Follow the conditions of use of the equipment indicated in the
instruction manual.
•
The installation, connection, startup, maintenance and repair work
must be carried out by qualified personnel.
•
Make sure that you install the pump in the appropriate area and
under the conditions corresponding to the marking.
•
To avoid risks arising from static electricity, always use conductive
elements to connect the pump. The use of non-conductive elements
external to these pumps is the responsibility of the end user.
Additional equipment to the pump must be certified separately.
•
Be sure to ground the pump with the supplied cable, equipped
with a clamp.
•
You must respect the surface temperature considerations in
explosive atmospheres. This manual specifies conditions in this
regard. The ATEX marking states the maximum temperature that
the equipment can reach. This pump might overheat up to 25°C
over the ambient or grease temperature (whichever is greater), this
means that the maximum temperature will depend on that of the
grease or ambient, and should be taken into account.
•
In the presence of explosive atmospheres, keep the pump away
from it while making service tasks.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SAFE USE
•
Clean the pump area and dust deposits regularly when working in
environments with a potential explosive atmosphere.
•
Make sure all elements are well connected before operating with
the pump.
•
Make sure the pump is firmly fixed (to drum covers, tanks, racks,
etc.) before putting it into operation.
•
Avoid dry running the pump for a long time. If possible, the use of
probes or sensors that detect that the grease tank has been
emptied is recommended, so that the operator can stop the pump
or even automatically shut down the air supply.
•
The use of an air pressure relief valve is recommended, to avoid
accidentally exceeding the maximum operating pressure.
•
This equipment should be maintained regularly, following the
instructions in the manual.
•
When the pump is not operating normally it should be maintained
correctly. It is the responsibility of the end user to respect the
conditions of use of the pump.
•
The construction of the pumps ensures that the parts necessary to
reach the level of safety cannot be disassembled unintentionally.
•
Provide protections when installing the pump to avoid falling
objects on the pump.
•
This equipment is designed for pumping grease, do not use with
any other fluid or material.
WARNING: IF THIS INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT FOLLOWED, SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR, AS WELL AS
DAMAGE TO ADJACENT EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES.
