Purpose of the manual
The user manual provides instructions on the safe operation of the
SmartVide
X
machine throughout its complete life cycle.
The
SmartVide
X
machine is available in the following models and
with optional accessories:

Check your model against the information on the nameplate.

Power-heated tank option (*)
: the power-heated tank incor

porates an additional heating element that is controlled from the
machine via a USB connection.

warranty cards that forms part of the machine’s delivery scope.

Safety information
Intended use
The machine has been designed for use in hospitality, restaurants,
catering and commercial applications.
Reasonably foreseeable misuse
Other professional uses of this machine, such as for healthcare or
chemical applications, are not permitted.
Limits of use
The machine is designed exclusively for heating water (
Sammic
recommends the use of decalcified water).
The machine must not be used in explosive atmospheres.
User qualifications
This machine is designed for use by professionals qualified to han
-
dle food and work in professional kitchens with specific training in
cooking vacuum-packed food (
sous-vide
method).
This machine is not designed for use by people (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or who lack the
necessary experience or knowledge unless they have received
supervision or instructions regarding the machine’s use from a
person responsible for their safety.
Hazards inherent to the product

Risk due to unattended use of the machine:
Never leave the
machine operating while unattended.

Risk of burns after use:
The surface of the heating element
maintains residual heat after use.

using the machine.

connect it from the mains power supply before approaching the

If water gets inside the machine: disconnect it from the
mains power supply and remove it from the tank. Try to
remove as much water as possible from inside the machine,
and contact an authorised service technician.
