Operation
ATTENTION!
While plowing the driving speed should be appropriate to existing road
conditions. During operation driving faster than
25 mph
is forbidden.
ATTENTION!
Reversing is forbidden when working with a plow equipped with support wheels.
Support wheels do not rotate around the vertical axis and therefore reversing
may damage them.
5.6.
Plow's allowable snow load and protections
Ram
plows are middle class snow plows that are able to tackle snow mass of up to
6 tones
. A
schematic of permissible load distribution has been presented in
positions
a, b and c). Plows
often operate on uneven terrain and are subject to meeting immovable obstacles which the operator
often can not see, especially when covered by snow. For this reason the
Smart
plows have been
equipped with a moldboard which tilts back 65 which allows the plow to easily move over obstacles up
to
10 cm
). A condition of this safeguard is that the TPH must be set to the floating setting.
