4. Selling Fares
Selling fares is our most common transaction. So SAM makes it really easy. Two
fares? No problem – just touch the
[2 Fares]
button. Need six fares? Touch
[6 Fares].
What if a rider asks for a dozen? Touch
[10 Fares]
, then touch
[2 Fares]
.
Or
[6 Fares]
and
[6 Fares]
. As you touch each button, the sale will appear in the
Information Bar. It will also be recorded on a line in the Check.
“That’s two fares, four dollars.” The rider gives you a five. In the Cash Section, push
the
[$5]
button. The screen will display a big box that tells you the Total Sale is $4
and the Change is $1. The cash drawer will open.
