F. Installing Forward Facing
The top anchorage strap (tether) is used for the
forward-facing position only.
NOTE:
We strongly recommend that you use the top
anchorage strap (tether) in the forward-facing position. If
your vehicle does not have an anchor bracket, please see
your dealer or a qualified mechanic and have one installed.
The top anchorage strap (tether) can greatly improve the
performance of this child restraint.
Storage of Top Anchorage Strap (Tether):
When the top anchorage
strap (tether) is not in use,
attach the top anchorage
hook (tether) to recline stand
as shown.
Tighten tether to remove the
slack.

(Tether)
Lift up to
loosen
To loosen;
Lift up on top
anchorage lock and push
lock adjuster toward top
anchorage hook (tether).
To tighten;
After the child
restraint is locked into
place with LATCH or vehicle
belt, ppush down on child
restraint and pull on free
end of top anchorage strap
(tether).
Pull free
end to
tighten

Routing LATCH Belt
Insert the connector
without the adjuster
closest to it, through
the forward-facing belt
path.

Thread LATCH
Across
Pull the LATCH
connector across the
back and out the other
side as shown.
Make sure the belt is
not twisted.

NOTE:
Pull the LATCH belt out of the rear-facing belt path if
you have used this child restraint rear facing.
Do not use the lower anchorage system
(LATCH system) to attach this child
restraint when restraining a child weighing
more than 40 lbs (18 kg) with the internal
harnesess of the child restraint.
