·
Use the motor only with equipment that has an absorbed power lower than or equal to the rated power of the
motor.
4.5 USE – STANDARD VERSIONS
MT, MM series motors are used in industrial applications, coupled to equipment such as pumps, fans and similars.
Use the motors only for the purposes described in this manual.
For special versions, refer to the specific technical documentation (technical sheets, drawings, etc.).
4.6 USES NOT ADMITTED
û
Do not use the motors in potentially explosive classified areas or in contact with or near to flammable fluids.
For the classification of areas at risk, refer to the local regulations in force.
û
It is forbidden to use the motor in case of damages or anomalous operations.
û
Do not use the motor in areas frequented by swimmers.
ATTENTION!
·
Always use the motor at power, frequency and voltage within the data stated in the data plate and in the
specific technical documentation.
·
Always use the motors within the provided limits of use: use outside the limits can cause serious damage to
the motor.
5. INSTALLATION
·
Use suitable means for lifting and transporting the motor: falls, reversals, sudden movements must be
avoided.
·
During handling to maintain appropriate safety distances.
·
Before executing any operation, make sure that the cables are disconnected from the power supply.
5.1 PRELIMINARY VERIFICATIONS
ATTENTION!
ü
Verify that the data shown on the plate, and in particular, power, frequency, voltage, absorbed current, are
compatible with the characteristics of the electric line or current generator available. In particular, the voltage
of the line voltage can have a variance of ± 5% from the nominal voltage value on the plate.
ü
Verify that the protection and insulation grade indicated on the plate are compatible with the environmental
conditions.
ü
Check the environmental conditions according to the operating limits indicated in paragraph 4.
ü
Verify that the motor has been ordered for the intended installation position:
-
Horizontal position: allowed for all motors.
-
Vertical position: special version required, supplied on request.
-
In any position, the motor PTO must never be tilted upwards, even if the inclination is minimal.
The connection to the main supply must be carried out in compliance with the local and national regulations of the place where the motor is
installed.
It is the responsibility of the installer and the user to take the necessary measures to avoid any electrical, mechanical, thermal, hygienic and
any other kind of risks arising from the application and depending on the type of driven equipment.
5.2 INSTALLATION POSITIONS
The permitted installation positions are shown in TAB.VIII.
Horizontal installation
ATTENTION!
·
The equipment must always transmit a positive axial load (therefore towards the rear of the motor).
