6.2
MANUAL OPERATION
If the machine is set to operate in manual mode (selector switch SA100 turned to MAN), the motors can be run
individually with the control buttons on the panel. In addition, the tool heater can be operated, if provided. This operation
can also be carried out if the machine is set to run in automatic mode.
6.3
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Turn selector switch SA100 to AUT to set the machine for automatic operation.
OPERATION
If selector switch SA30 is set to “local” operation, the automatic cycle can be started by pressing button SB30M located
on the control panel. If the machine is set for “remote” operation, the run command affects the next machine. The
automatic cycle is started only if all the safety and work conditions are completely satisfied. Any fault messages that
appear on the top display indicate troubles that prevent the machine from running (see the Instructions B Manual). The
machine starts working the caps automatically, carrying out the operations in the order given:
- compressed air solenoid valves are opened
- start of cap infeed
- start of cap conveying system
- start of machine motor
- start of vacuum pump motor
Only for plastic cap processing.
Once the tool has reached the previously set temperature, the gate that holds back the caps coming from the feeder
opens so that they can enter the machine.
PRODUCTION CYCLE
The infeed turn-table picks up the caps from the infeed channel and places them on the spindles of the work drum.
They are then brought to the tools which form them definitively. After which the machine ejects the caps into the exit
channel where they then reach the next machine or the box counter.
STOPPING THE MACHINE
Press button SB30A on the control panel if selector switch SA30 is set for “local” operation to stop the automatic cycle.
On the other hand, if the machine is set to “remote” the stop command is provided from the next machine.
The following operations are performed:
- the cap infeed channel is closed
- the motors stop running once the last cap has left the machine.
