SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND PRECAUTIONS
3.1
SAFETY DEVICES INSTALLED
(See figure 3.1)
The machine is provided with a number of mechanical and electric safety devices that safeguard the operator as well
as protect the machine.
Shut down devices
The shut down devices detect and signal malfunctioning and prevent the machine from being started or stop it if
running.
Shut down indication
Whenever a shut down condition is present, the red light over the electric cabinet comes on to inform the operator. The
cause of the fault appears on the display of the control keyboard. The meaning of the fault messages is given in the
INSTRUCTIONS B Manual.
Equipment which safeguards the operator
The machine is equipped with movable interlocked guards. In addition, fixed guards are installed that prevent persons
from accessing the moving parts as well as all other parts that are potentially dangerous, as they are live or reach high
temperatures.
Emergency stop buttons
Mushroom head emergency stop buttons are provided (see figure 3.1) in the following areas:
- on the machine base
- on the push-button panel
Operation: manual
Effect:
machine immediately stops
Reset:
manual.
