unplugging (6’ w/ 41” and 6’ w/ 72”
Adjustable Wing Conveyors Only)
The conveyor is designed with a hinged access door on
the idler end (non-discharge end) of the conveyor. Check
this area occasionally and remove accumulated material to
prevent plugging. Follow this procedure when checking or
unplugging the conveyor.
1.
Clear the area of bystanders, especially small
children.
2.
Place controls in neutral, stop the engine, set
park brake, relieve hydraulic pressure, remove
ignition key, and wait for all moving parts to
stop before servicing, adjusting, repairing, or
unplugging.
3.
Unpin and open access door.
4.
Remove all the material from the end of the
conveyor.
5.
Close, re-pin, and secure the conveyor access
door.
Magnet Chute Assembly (If equipped)
On machines equipped with the discharge magnet chute assembly, the magnet should be periodically cleaned off to
remove all of the metal debris accumulated through machine operation.
Teflon Wear Blocks/Chain Guides (Left/Right Models Only)
Machines equipped with the 6’ w/ 41” or 6’ w/ 72” adjustable wing conveyors have Teflon wear blocks to keep the conveyor
chain travelling close to the conveyor floor when the wing is tilted up.
The Teflon blocks are a wear item, and should be checked periodically to ensure proper conveyor chain operation and per-
formance. The Teflon blocks are designed such that they can be unbolted and turned so that a new wear face is exposed,
thus extending the life of the blocks. However, if the blocks are worn to a point where they can no longer be used, replace
with new Teflon blocks which are available from your Sioux Automation dealer.
Important:
Operating the adjustable wing conveyor tilted at maximum height places additional stress and wear on
the Teflon wear blocks.
