– Open the Z-folded handle upwards.
– When upper and lower handle are aligned
tighten the two wing nuts by hand.
– Press the plastic-covered ends of the lower
handle apart until the inwardly-pointing locking
pins on each side of the handle lock into the
appropriate grooves in the mower housing.
The handle is then in the correct working position.
– Tighten the two wing nuts on both sides by
hand.
– Insert the cable on the left hand side and right
hand side into the cable guide. This is to prevent
the cable from being trapped when folding the
handle.

The safety switch bow (1) on the upper handle
(2) must be folded down before the starter
cable (3) can be suspended.
– Pull out the starter cable (3) and fit in the starter
handle mount (4) with a twist motion.
Attaching the grass collector to the mower
6
– Press the lip of the collector running along the two
sides and bottom onto the front of the collector
frame.
– Open the ejection flap of the mower upwards.
– Lift the collector at the carry bar and attach the
collector to the top mower housing by means of
the two lateral hooks.
– Attach ejection flap to collector.
Adjusting the cutting height
7
W
Never adjust the cutting height with the motor
still running.
The mower is adjusted to the lowest cutting height
upon delivery.
– The front centre adjustment knob may be turned
to infinitely adjust the cutting height to between
30 and 80 mm.
– The markings on the lefthand side of the housing
and on the adjustment rod indicate the cutting
height.
19
– Always check the grass collecting system at
regular intervals for wear and tear or loss of
function.
– For reasons of safety, always replace worn or
damaged parts.
– If you are doing any work in the area of the
blades, always wear protective gloves.
– Maintenance and cleaning jobs may only
be carried out if the engine has been turned
off and the spark plug sockets have been
removed.
– Do not clean the lawnmower with running water or
pressure cleaners.
– If the tank needs to be emptied, you must do this
in the open. Please catch the petrol in suitable
containers.
– For reasons of safety and guarantees, only
original SABO parts may be used.
