Guide to Main Screen Controls:
•
File
(New, Open Save): Files (.xdt) are used to store and recall parameters of the Navigator
on your computer. Equivalent to Programs, which are stored in the Navigator.
•
Program
(Recall, Store): These live within the Navigator’s on-board memory. Equivalent to
Files on your computer.
•
Download, Upload
: All programs stored within your Navigator can be transferred to (Down-
load [.xlt files]) and from (Upload) your computer using this function. Handy for loading a
whole set of programs into the Navigator.
•
Device
: Choose which type of Navigator you are programming in Design (offline) Mode.
•
Security
: Select which control menus will be locked when you set a password on the
Navigator. Passwords are set in this wondow only.
•
View Data
: Displays the values for every parameter in the Navigator. You can print the data
from here, too.
•
Connection
: Connect to the Navigator via RS232 or, with -EN versions, via Ethernet.
•
Setup
(New, Open, Save): Think of Setups as your screen sets and network settings.
Custom desktop arrangements can be saved and recalled. Links between units are also
saved in Setups (.xst files).
•
Link
: This window allows you to set your function links between networked Navigators.
•
Copy
: Use this window to copy selected settings to all the Navigator (-EN) devices in your
network.
•
Preferences
: Set the way the Navigator displays various units of measure.
