Actions Before Recording
Before recording the signal, pay attention to the following:
Give the patient enough time to relax after lying on the bed.
If necessary, shave the hair where the electrodes are placed on the patient's skin.
The connection of the electrodes to the skin should be cleaned with alcohol or a solution of soap
and water and then dried.
Use enough gel.
The ambient temperature should be appropriate and the patient should not suffer from cold and
tremors.
Make all necessary settings on the device before recording.
During the recording, ask the patient to be as calm and immobile as possible, not to talk, and not
to contract their muscles.
At the beginning / end of recording, or at least at the end of each shift, the accessories, especially
the
suction chest electrodes and clamp
, should be cleaned.
ECG Electrodes Connection
ECG cable consists of two parts: main cable that is connected to the device and lead wires that are connected
to the patient. (figure 4-1).
