Connections

IR Receiver and DVD/CD Player/Recorder

The SMC receives commands from its IR remote control via the IR receiver (see

below) on the right side of the front panel�

Note:

For best results, point the remote at the receiver area and make sure that

there are no objects or furniture in the line of sight between the receiver

and the remote�

To the left of the IR receiver is a front-load DVD/CD Recorder/Player for storing

and recording video and music on CDs and DVDs� To open or close the drive,

press the silver button just below the drive tray�
