The working temperature of the RG-S6220-24XS switches is from 0
℃
to 50
℃
, and the heat dissipation design needs
to ensure the stability, safety and maintainability in such temperature. The RG-S6220 series switches adopt fan
ventilation and forced convection to ensure the device can work normally in specified environment. Dust the device
every three months to avoid blocking the ventilation openings.
The RG-S6220-24XS supports fan module M6220-FAN-F, and provides fan speed regulation, fan failure warning, and
fan hot plugging.

Leave sufficient space in the front and at the back of the chassis (at least 20 cm) for ventilation.
It requires at least three fan modules to work normally. Baffles need to be installed in the empty fan module slots to
ensure ventilation and heat dissipation and avoid dusts.
1.5 Module
The RG-S6220 series switches adopt modularization design. Strictly complying with the industrial standard, the system
modules are reasonably subdivided and the module interfaces are unified. All these ensure that the RG-S6220 series
switches system is complete and all modules are independent.
The RG-S6220 series switches support M6220-AC460E-F (power supply module) and M6220-FAN-F (fan module).
The RG-S6220-24XSswitches support service extension module as follows: M6220-12XS, M6220-02QXS,
M6220-08FC and M6220-08XT.
