Verifying CM and AP Operation
After deploying the 7781CM on the cable strand, Ruckus Wireless strongly recommends
that you verify that the CM and AP are operating correctly:

Logging Into the CM’s Web Interface via CMTS
■

Logging Into the AP’s Web Interface via CMTS
■
Checking the TR069 Status (FlexMaster Management Only)
■
Associating a Wireless Client with the AP
■
Using the AP’s Web Interface to Switch LEDs to CM Mode
Logging Into the CM’s Web Interface via CMTS
1.
Obtain the IP address that is assigned to the CM. You can obtain this information from
the DHCP server at the CMTS.
2.
Connect an administrative computer to the same subnet as the 7781CM.
3.
On the administrative computer, start a Web browser.
4.
In the address bar, enter the IP address that is assigned to the cable modem. The cable
modem web interface displays a login prompt.

Leave
User Name
blank.
6.
In
Password,
type
ADMIN
.
7.
Click
Log In
. The
Status
page appears.
8.
On the menu on the left sidebar, click
Connection
. The
Connection Status
page
.
You have logged into the CM’s web interface.
Verifying CM Operation
1.
Log in to the CM’s Web interface through the CMTS as described in

In the Startup Procedure table (
), look for
Connectivity State
.
3.
Verify that the
Status
column for
Connectivity State
shows “OK”. This indicates that
the cable modem is connected to the network and operating normally.
