Correcting the DC offset
In some audio clips, the zero point of the waveform may not be aligned
at zero. (This is a limitation of the sound card.) The DC offset can result
in distortion when you edit the recording. Easy VHS to DVD Plus allows
you to correct the DC offset.
To correct the DC offset for an audio clip:
1
In the
Project View
area, right-click the audio clip for which you
want to correct the DC offset and choose
Clip Properties.
2
In the
Clip Properties
dialog box, select the
Adjust DC Offset
check box and click
OK
.
Changing the channels of a stereo signal
You can modify the channels of a stereo signal—flipping channels,
playing only the right channel or the left channel, or playing either the
right channel or the left channel on both channels. You might want to
use this feature if:
your audio clip only contains one recorded channel, but it is not a
mono recording. You might want to play the single channel on
both the right and left channels.
your audio clip contains a dual audio channel, recorded from the
television, which has a different language on each channel. You
might want to play only one channel, so that you hear only one
language.
your audio clip has a different instrument on each channel (or
instrumental music on one channel and vocal on the other), and
you want to listen to only one instrument, or to just the
instrumental music.
