The possible categories and indexes would be:
Figure 9.3 illustrates the RCP-ME button mapping based on these resources, categories, and indexes.

Upon entering Category Index mode, the Source (SRC) selection filter is selected by default. The RCP-ME panel
will only light Category buttons that have defined sources in that category.

Entering Category Index Mode
Category Index mode may be entered from the default panel multi-page menu based structure by assigning a
Category function button (see “
Assigning Functions to Buttons on the RCP-ME ” on page 46). Alternatively, the
RCP-ME panel may be forced to stay in Category Index mode. In this mode, the panel will only be a Category
Index panel and have no access to the default multi-page menu structure and assigned buttons.
To configure permanent Category Index Mode
1. Open the RCP-ME Panel Config interface (see “ To open the RCP-ME Panel Config interface ” on page 22).
2. Select the Permanent Category Mode box.
3. Send the current configuration file to the device (see “ To send the current configuration to a panel ” on
page 74).

When in permanent Category Index mode, the
Exit
button (first button) is no longer required. The Category
Index mode then has access to 36 buttons for Category/Index assignment.
Operating in Category Index Mode
This section assumes the category/index assignments outlined in the section “ Category Index Example ” on
page 57.
To select a destination
1. Press the
DEST
filter button.
The available destination categories are lit.

resources with a space in the name (e.g. the CAM_ category will allow resources
named CAM 1, CAM 2 but not CAM3).
