Connecting to a smartphone or tablet
To connect a smartphone or tablet you can use either an HDMI or a VGA connection. HDMI is
recommended since it provides a higher resolution.
To make the connection you need:
•
Either
an HDMI-HDMI cable AND an adaptor cable that will connect to your smartphone or tablet
and the HDMI cable,
•
Or
a VGA-VGA cable AND an adaptor cable that will connect to your smartphone or tablet and
the VGA cable,
Note:
Not all smartphones or tablets provide an output with a video signal. MHL capable
devices (see
http://www.mhltech.org/devices.aspx
) can be connected via a MHL-2-HDMI
adapter. iPad and iPhone can be connected via an Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter.
