Chapter 1 Fully Utilizing the Machine
When the screen shown in the figure appears
AUTO DETECTION
Press [ENTER] on this screen to start the automatic detection of the height . During automatic detection,
the head gap sensor comes into contact with the media .
If you do not want to perform automatic detection, press [ ] to return to the original screen .

If the front cover is open, close it .

When the location is set, press [ENTER] .
Height Settings When the Print Surface is Uneven
This machine can also print on uneven surfaces . However, note the following points regarding the height
setting .
The gap between the "highest position of the media" and the "lowest position of
the print surface" should be 2 mm (78 .7 mil) or less (as a general guide) .
The print quality at the lower position degrades as the height gap widens .
