Wi-Fi
Connect to WiFi network
Some WiFi networks are open and you can simply connect for Internet access.
Other WiFi networks are secure and require you to enter a password. Contact
the Wi-Fi network's owner for the password.
To search for and connect with available Wi-Fi networks:
● Open quick settings, then tap & hold .
● Turn Use Wi-Fi on .
● Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
● If the network is a secure one, enter the password.
To extend the life of your battery between charges, turn off WiFi when you're
not in a location with access to WiFi.
Open quick settings and tap to turn it off.
Advanced: Forget Wi-Fi connection
● Open quick settings, then tap & hold .
● Tap the network's name and tap FORGET.
Advanced: Disable Wi-Fi scanning
● Go to Settings > Security & location.
● Tap Location > Advanced > Scanning.
● Turn Wi-Fi scanning off .
Use Airplane mode
Airplane mode turns off all wireless connections, preventing your phone from
transmitting signals that could interfere with plane communications.
Open Quick settings and tap to turn airplane mode on. This disables all
wireless connections (WiFi, voice and data for calls and text messages,
Bluetooth). If permitted by your airline, you can then
turn WiFi and/or Bluetooth back on during the flight. Other wireless connections
remain off.
