The dependencies of dynamic range, operating voltage window and attenuation
ratio are shown in 

figure 3-2

. The dynamic range between the positive and nega-

tive signal pins depends on the selected attenuation, but the operating voltage
window between each of the signal pins and common ground is not affected by
the attenuation.

The

 shows several examples for permissible and impermissible inputs.
