MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the unit
After each campaign, we suggest to remove the upper casing section and to clean the
probe.
For doing so, hold the brass piece with the C-shape tool -provided in the tool box- and
unscrew the upper casing section with a pipe wrench. After cleaning the probe, re-
assemble it. NEVER ROTATE THE BRASS PIECE !.
Membrane Diameter
With use, the PROBEX membrane will deform in a plastic way resulting in a diameter
increase. This phenomenon will not invalidate test results, but may prevent PROBEX
insertion in the calibration tube or in the borehole. For preventing that:
the membrane
should be periodically sandblasted by hand. Please note that this operation can
take long.
