Basic Operation
Starting Procedure
ATTENTION
Do not start the operating vehicle until shredder has been carefully checked for cor-
rect assembly and installation. Be sure all observers are at least 100 feet clear of the
machine.
1.
Check to see that the shredder is in the down position and blades are not touching the
ground. Start the engine. Set throttle at idle speed.
WARNING
DO NOT engage auxiliary flow hydraulics at a high engine speed.
2.
With low RPM, turn on the auxiliary flow hydraulics.
3.
Slowly bring up the RPM to maximum flow/efficiency.
IMPORTANT: Should excess vibrations occur, disable auxiliary hydraulics and shut
the machine down immediately. Determine and correct the problem before continu-
ing work.
4.
When work is finished, disable auxiliary hydraulics, shut off operating vehicle, set park-
ing brake and check hydraulic motor, motor protection valve and other areas for excess
heat or leaks. Do not touch the motor or other hot areas with bare skin.
