It is important that the gas s

heater’s

A gas meter is connected to the ser

ice pipe by the
Gas S
u
pply Company. Any existing meter sho
u
ld be
checked, preferably by the company, to ens
u
re that
the meter is adeq
u
ate for the rate of gas s
u
pply
req
u
ired.
Installation pipes m

st be fitted in accordance

ith
local and national codes. Pipe

ork from the meter
to the heater(s) m

st be of adeq
u
ate size.

.1 Connections

me of gas for the complete
installation.

sed and fitted into the s

pply adjacent to the
heater.
IMPORTANT - The complete installation m
u
st be

rged and tested for gas so
u
ndness in accordance

ith local and national codes.
• Check the pipe and tubin
g
ends for leaks
before placin
g
heatin
g
e
q
uipment into
service. When checkin
g
for
g
as leaks, use a
approved leak detection fluid; never use an
open flame.
WARNING
Explosion Hazard
Leak test all components of gas pipe work
before operation.
Gas can leak if pipe work is not installed
properly.
Do not high pressure test gas pipe work with
heater connected.
Failure to follow these instructions can result
in death, injury or property damage.
