The ‘READY’ message then flows to the right and
out of the display, to be replaced by the last acti-
vated working display (e.g. the elapsed process
time). The flashing status indicator symbol shows
the current state ‘R’ (READY). You can now use the
‘SELECT’ button to activate the additional dis-
plays and check the data for the process which
has just finished.

ERROR MESSAGES
The Power Peak FUN is equipped with a range of safety features to ensure that charge
and discharge processes are completed reliably. As soon as an error occurs, an appro-
priate message appears on the screen, and the piezo buzzer emits a warning sound. All
error messages are displayed on the screen.
BID ship was disconnected during a running pro-
cess, or the connection is not correct. Check the
adaptor lead and chip, re-connect the chip if necessary and re-start the process using the
‘MODE’ button.
No battery is connected, or there is a break in the
charge current circuit. Connect the battery pro-
perly. This message also appears if the battery is connected with reversed polarity. Check
the connections carefully.
If you start a LiPo battery charge / discharge process without entering the correct cell
count, the process may not start; instead you will hear a warning signal for a period. The
screen then displays the ‘READY’ message, together with the select menu for correcting
the erroneous setting.
The Power Peak FUN also includes additional protective circuits which ensure safe ope-
ration, but these do not generate an on-screen error message or an audible warning. If the
output is short-circuited, you will not be able to start a charge / discharge process. Howe-
ver, there is no visual or audible warning of this. If you cannot initiate a process, check the
connections immediately. The same applies if the input voltage is connected with rever-
sed polarity; the unit will not allow you to initiate a charge / discharge process.

GENERAL SAFETY NOTES
• The Power Peak FUN is suitable solely for charging and discharging rechargeable NC /
NiMH and Lithium batteries. Do not attempt to recharge dry cells - explosion hazard.
• The charger is designed solely for use with a 12 V DC power supply; do not connect it
to any other voltage.
