SET-UP DISPLAY
You must set the appropriate charge current, discharge current and battery type (NiCd,
NiMH or Li-BAT) on the charger before the actual charge / discharge process can be star-
ted. The set-up menu in which this is done appears when you connect the charger to the
power supply. The individual parameters are selected using the ‘SELECT’ button, and
adjusted using the ‘SET’ buttons. Our example shows the set charge current. The flas-
hing status indicator at the right-hand edge shows
‘N’ (No Battery).

MANUAL MODE
If a BID chip is not present, the Power Peak FUN works as an entirely normal battery char-
ger. The charge parameters for a particular battery must then be entered at the Set-up
Display using the operating buttons.
6.1
MENU STRUCTURE IN MANUAL MODE
The menu structure, and the sequence of the individual screen displays, is identical to the
one for setting the parameters and displaying the charge data. At the programming stage
all the displays have to be called up in turn using the ‘SELECT’ button. You will see a flas-
hing cursor in all the menus in which values can be changed; the values are altered using
the ‘SET’ buttons.
