5. Gently pull on the knob of the sensor gasket to remove it. Be sure not to lose

7. Carefully insert the replacement sensor in the correct socket.
Figure 29: Replacing a Sensor
CAUTION:
When replacing a sensor, verify that the sensor is properly aligned with its
socket before inserting it into the socket. The CO sensor has alignment slots
which match up with alignment tabs in the socket. The combustible sensors
each have two non-polarized contacts which must line up with the contacts
in their socket. Forcing a sensor into its socket may damage the sensor or
the socket.
8. If a dummy sensor is installed, be sure that it is installed correctly. Make sure
the flat side is up and the hollow side is down.
9. Place the sensor gasket and filters back into the chamber ensuring that it seals
with the sensors and the edge of the chamber.
10. Place the flow chamber in position over the sensor area and press it into the
case until it is flush with the back of the case.
11. Tighten the top screw of the flow chamber completely.
12. Place the belt clip into position and tighten the three screws retaining it.
