Removing the chassis cover
Removing the chassis cover
This section describes how to remove the chassis cover on 2U xx80 and IC 9800 appliances.
Important:
The appliance must be operated with the appliance cover in place to ensure proper cooling.
To remove the chassis cover on the 2U appliance
1. Power down the appliance and unplug all peripheral devices and the power cable.
2. Facing the back of the 2U appliance, remove the screw on the top of the appliance and loosen the
two screws (See
, letter A) on the back of the appliance.

3. Place your thumbs on the recessed tabs (See
, letter B) and slide the cover straight back
and up.
Note:
To install the chassis cover, reverse the order of these steps.
