Maintenance

Cleaning main unit

-  When cleaning main unit, use neutral detergent and wipe up with soft 

cloth. Please make sure not to erase the printings, paintings, and mark-

ings when cleaning main unit.

-  The printings, paintings, and marking on the main unit are very important 

information for safety operation and serious accidents might be caused if 

operated without them.

Laser service life detection 

When the laser output level is still within specifi cations but the laser is near-

ing the end of its service life, the LASER indicator of the KS-19F and the 

[LASER] icon of connected controller KE-40B1 display fl ash in green as a 

warning indication. It is recommended to have laser maintenance performed 

within one month after this indication has appeared. The actual period between 

the start of the warning indication and the point where the laser output level 

is no longer within specifi cations will differ for individual units. When the 

laser output level drops below the specifi ed value, the LASER indicator of 

the KS-19F and the [LASER] icon of KE-40B1 fl ash in red. 

Cooling fan 

When the cooling fan integrated in the sensor section stops running, the 

message “AIR PURGE ERROR” appears on the connected controller 

KE-40B1 display. 

In such a case, light source temperature control may become inoperative, 

therefore fan repair is required. Please contact the supplier. 

Replacement of consumables 

The laser, fl ow cell, INLET nozzle, OUTLET nozzle, air packing for the case 

and shock-absorbing material for the sensor are consumable parts. Regarding 

replacement of these parts, please contact the supplier.
