Maintenance
Steps after use
Always make sure to follow the procedure described below when removing
the KS-19F from the measurement system.
1. Purge the system with pure water.
For information on purging, please refer to the section “Cleaning the
piping” described below.
2. Turn the POWER switch of the KE-40B1 to the (
) side (power
off) and disconnect the connection cable between the KE-40B1 and
KS-19F.
3. Fill the piping with alcohol (such as ethyl alcohol) to prevent bacteria
growth and other contamination.
4. Disconnect the sampling tubes from the INLET and OUTLET and
attach the end plugs.
Important
The sample fl uid system must always be fi lled
with fl uid regardless of during measurement,
storage or transport. If the sample fl uid system
dries up, problems with the fl ow cell (see page
7) can occur.
Cleaning the piping
Clean the piping of the KS-19F as follows.
1. Pass an ample amount of pure water through the system to replace the
sample fl uid with pure water. If the use of pure water poses the risk
of a chemical reaction, use a different cleaning agent that is suitable
for the sample fl uid, and then purge with pure water.
2. Clean the KS-19F by purging with pure water. It is not necessary to
control the fl ow rate at this time.
