Preparations
Purge gas requirements are as follows.
Clean dry air: CDA
- Tempe15°C to +35°C
- Relative humidity not causing condensation (see page 9)
- Flow rate 3 L/min to 10 L/min
It is also possible to use nitrogen gas or other gases, but before doing so,
please contact the supplier.
Important
If a gas other than CDA is used, there is a
possibility of contaminating the internal optical
parts, depending on the condition of the gas.
After turning off the power of the KS-19F, stop
supplying purge gas after the temperature of
the chassis becomes equal to environmental
temperature (about from 10 minutes to 20 minutes).
The PURGE air port connector is a one-touch type for dia. 6 mm tube.
When the optional purge air unit is installed, the KS-19F can be used even
if the cleanliness of environment is low.
However, if the sample fl uid temperature is lower than the environmental
temperature, condensation may occur on the fl ow cell. In such a case, the
purge air unit will not be able to prevent condensation (see page 10).
Also, the purge air unit cannot remove corrosive gases.
Important
When not using purge gas, attach the supplied
blind plug to the PURGE air port.
