cannot
reach

supplier,
call
the

turn
the
gas
control
knob.
Never
use
tools.
If
the
knob
will
not
push
in
or
turn
by
hand,

not
try
to
repair
it,
call
a
quali

ed
licensed
professional.
Force

repair
may
result
in
a
fi
re
or
explosion.

Turn

2.
Set
the
thermostat
to
lowest

ng.
3.
Locate
the
manual
gas
valve
on
the
side
of
the
heater.
Turn
the
manual
valve
clockwise
to
the
full
OFF
posi
Ɵ
on.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.
STOP!
Read
the
safety
informa

on
above.
2.
Set
the
thermostat
to
lowest
se
ƫ
ng.
3.
Turn
o
ī
all
electric
power
to
the
appliance
using
the
ON/OFF
bu
Ʃ
on.
4.
This
appliance
is
equipped
with
an
igni
Ɵ
on
device
which
automa
Ɵ
cally
lights
the
burner.
Do
not
try
to
light
the
burner
by
hand.
5.
Locate
the
manual
gas
valve
on
the
side
of
the
heater.
Turn
the
manual
valve
clockwise
to
the
full
OFF
posi
Ɵ
on.
6.
Wait
fi
ve
(5)
minutes
to
clear
out
any
gas.
Then
smell
for
gas,
including
near
the
fl
oor.
If
you
smell
gas,
STOP!
Follow
“B”
in
the
safety
informa
Ɵ
on
above.
If
you
don’t
smell
gas,
go
to
the
next
step.
7.
Turn
the
manual
gas
valve
counterclockwise
to
the
full
ON
posi
Ɵ
on.
8.
Turn
on
all
electric
power
to
the
appliance
using
the
ON/OFF
bu
Ʃ
on.
9.
Set
the
thermostat
to
desired
se
ƫ
ng.
10.
Open
a
hot
water
tap.
If
the
appliance
will
not
operate,
follow
the
instruc
Ɵ
ons
“To
Turn
O
ī
Gas
To
Appliance”
and
call
your
licensed
professional
or
gas
supplier.
