Below is a list of approved system cleaners, inhibitors, and antifreezes for use in hydronic plumbing 
systems utilizing Rinnai boilers. 

 

               IMPORTANT

 

• 

If replacing a boiler, add system cleaners while the old boiler is installed and operate the old 
boiler for heating for several days to most effectively clean the system.

 

• 

The Rinnai boiler must be closed off (valved off) from the rest of the system, or not 
connected, while cleaners are in the system.

 

• 

When cleaning is complete, drain the system and then flush with clean water to remove any 
sediment.
