5.5 SOFTWARE RESET
The software can be rebooted when the machine hangs up. Use either of the
following procedures.
Procedure 1
1. Turn the main power switch off and on.
2. Check that “Now loading. Please wait” is displayed and that the copy window
opens.
Procedure 2
1. Press and hold down the

keys together until the machine beeps (for
about 10 seconds).
2. Release both buttons.
3. Check that “Now loading. Please wait” is displayed and that the copy window
opens.

5.6.1 SYSTEM SETTING RESET
To reset the system settings in the UP mode to their defaults. Use the following
procedure.
1. Press the User Tools/Counter key (
).
2. Hold down the

3. When the display asks if you want to reset the system settings, touch
Yes
.
4. Check that the completion message appears, and touch
Exit
