Updating Firmware - 1



Always update the firmware in READY mode. If you update
firmware while copying or printing or in the energy saver
modes, the update will fail.



Make sure that the PC is set so that it does not enter
standby mode or sleep mode automatically during the
firmware update.



The firmware update may take a while to complete, so you
may need to switch off the standby or sleep mode settings
in the PC operating system.



4-in-1 models: Unplug the fax cable before starting the
update.



Make sure that the machine is on and connected to the PC
by its USB cable.



Before you start, print the Configuration page (using Smart
Organization Monitor).
