3. Troubleshooting

If the LS3000 Does Not Operate as You 
Want

Problem

Cause

Solution

The red indicator is blinking.

Paper remains in the interme-
diate feeding section.

Remove the paper, and then 
press the up button.

The input tray does not go up 
when the up button is 
pressed.

There is no paper loaded in 
the input tray.

Load paper.

A sheet of paper remains in 
the intermediate feeding sec-
tion.

Remove the paper.

The cover release lever is not 
locked.

Lock the cover release lever.

If the input tray does not move after 15 seconds, after eliminat-
ing the causes above, contact your service representative.

The red indicator is lit.

Turn the power off, and then 
back on. If the red indicator is 
still lit, contact your service 
representative.
