Shooting with Camera Memos
The image file storing the image shot with a digital camera has an area where additional information can
be stored. The camera memo function uses this area to allow you to attach a memo to the still image
you shoot.
Attaching camera memos facilitates identification, search, and sorting of still images. There are two
types of camera memos: text and voice memos.
No camera memo can be attached to a movie or voice file.
Text Camera Memo
You can create a list of text camera memos (camera memo list) using your computer and transfer it to
the camera so that you can use them when shooting images with a camera memo. If you want to use
data not included in the camera memo list, you can make a temporary memo using the camera. This
camera memo is called a “temporary memo.” You can also correct the contents of a camera memo list
using a temporary memo.
Voice Memo
The voice recorded by the camera can be attached as a camera memo. This camera memo is called
a“voice memo.”
