4.4 – Fuel
4.4.1 – Fuel mixture
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant.
Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean container approved for gasoline.
The mixture should be at a 40:1 ratio.
WARNING:
Most fuel mixture will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger
than usable in a 30 day period.
4.4.2 – Filling the fuel tank
WARNING:
Gasoline and its vapors are highly flammable and explosive. To prevent
serious personal injury and property damage, handle it with care. Keep away from ignition
sources and open flames, handle outdoors only, do not smoke while mixing gasoline and
lubricant together; and wipe up spills immediately.
WARNING:
Always shut off engine before fueling. Never add fuel to a machine with a
running or hot engine. Move at least 30 ft. from refueling site before starting engine. Do not
smoke and stay away from open flames and sparks. Unsafe handling of fuel could result in
serious personal injury.
Place the product on a stable, level surface. We recommend laying an inflammable sheet under the
product.
Mix petrol and oil in a suitable fuel mixing bottle.
NOTE: Never mix directly in the tank of the product.
Unscrew and remove the fuel tank cap, then add the fuel mixture into the tank
Use a proper funnel with a filter to prevent debris entering the tank and to avoid splitting and
overfilling the tank. Do not overfill. Leave approximately 5 mm of space to the lower edge to allow
