8. Set-Up
When selecting the set-up or mounting location, please take into consideration the room layout such as the
whereabouts of the nearest socket, etc.
When selecting the set-up or installation site, observe that direct sunlight, vibration, dust, heat, cold and moisture must
be avoided. There also must not be any strong transformers in the device's proximity.
Do not drill or screw additional screws into the casing in order to fasten the device. It would damage the
product.
Make sure you position or install the device safely. Falling devices may pose a significant risk of accident.
Due to the diversity of furniture paints and polishes used, it is possible that the device's feet will leave
visible residue on furniture due to chemical reaction. The device therefore should not be placed on valuable
furniture surfaces without any suitable protection.
Place the device on a level, straight surface that can support the load of the device.
9. Commissioning
a) Connection of Additional Devices
Connection of External Devices
• You can connect an amplifier or active speaker boxes to the AUDIO OUT (14) connection if necessary. Connect the
audio input of your external device to the AUDIO OUT (14) connection.
• If the plug of the external device does not fit, you can use a matching adapter.
If an external device is connected, the volume of the external device can be set with its volume controller.
You can still adjust the playback volume via the radio's built-in speakers using the volume control on the
device.
Connection of an external audio source

If necessary, you can connect the AUX-IN (13) connection to an audio device, the output signal of which is then
played back via the speakers integrated in the radio.

Connect the audio output of your external device to the AUX-IN (13) connection.
• If the plug of the external device does not fit, you can use a matching adapter.

Switch on the external device and start playback. You must switch to "AUX" mode on the radio for playback (see
later in this manual).
