Operation
•
For each build:
•
The description entered into DataHUB Generator
•
The folder containing data generated by the MeltVIEW and LaserVIEW hardware
•
The folder containing the volumes
•
Information about the volumes being processed
•
For each volume:
•
The volume name
•
The volume status (active, waiting for data, finished, error or cancelled)
•
The total number of layers
•
The number of layers still to be processed
For each build there are options to 'Complete build' or 'Stop processing'.
•
'Complete build' signals to the DataHUB Service that no further *.dat files will be received, but
that it should continue processing any *.dat files it has received up to this point. In most cases
it will not be necessary to press this button as the DataHUB Monitor will automatically identify
when the build is complete.
•
'Stop processing' signals to the DataHUB Service that it should stop adding data to the volumes
for that build immediately, regardless of how much unprocessed data is available. This is
useful if an error has been made in setting up volume generation, or if it is desirable for volume
generation to cease for any other reason.
There is an option to clear all the builds that are not in progress, i.e. those where all the volume
statuses are finished, cancelled or erroneous. When this happens, builds will disappear from the list,
and there may be an improvement in the speed at which in-progress volumes are generated.
If a volume status is shown as 'Error', a catastrophic error has occurred which means no further
processing can take place. Such errors are extremely unlikely: an example would be if a partially
completed volume was deleted whilst processing was still underway.
Note: If volume creation is triggered for a build that has already completed, there may be a significant
pause before it appears in the list on the DataHUB Monitor. This is because the *.dat files are being
validated.
