Manual disinfection:
D7
Next cleaning process / Storage
The cleaning beaker and cleaning pins are now ready for
use again If the next use is not carried out immediately, the
cleaning pins must be held on the underside of the cleaning
beaker with the help of the magnet Then, place the clean-
ing beaker upside down on its lid so that it can drip dry It is
advisable to place a paper towel underneath to absorb the
moisture
Machine disinfection:
D8
Machine thermodisinfection of the cleaning beakers
(incl. lid WITHOUT pins):
The cleaning beakers, lids, silicone seals, sound-proof ring /
adaptor ring, and tweezers can be thermally cleaned and
disinfected in a certified cleaning and disinfecting device,
according to the “Hygiene requirements for the treatment of
medical Devices” (*) For this purpose, all listed components
must be placed in the cleaning and disinfecting unit in a dis-
mantled state
Take care when placing light parts appropriately
(e.g. in the instrument basket). The cleaning pins
must only be disinfected manually! Observe points
D3 to D5 and store the disinfected cleaning pins in
a suitable container (for example cleaning cups,
spare parts) only for the duration of the cleaning
process. Finally, for longer periods of storage, see
point D7.
(*) Recommendation of the Commission for Hospital
Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO) at the Robert
Koch Institute (RKI) and the Federal Institute for Drugs and
