Attaching the Face Shields
1. Each Face Shield is held in place by a Spring Clip. Attach by sliding the edge of the Face Shield
under the clip matching the position of the shield aperture to the main aperture of the Phoroptor.

Mounting Rotochart
1. To attach the Rotochart, insert one pin into the hole; slide the edge under the clip; and insert the
other pin into the second hole. Refer to Figure SU-3.
Note:
The Card Holder on the Reading Rod is specially designed for the Near Point Rotochart™
but the spring clip will hold other cards.
Note:
By means of its knurled ring, the Card Holder can be rotated to present the characters on
either side of the Rotochart.
