Connecting Reichert Universal Display to the DENSITY4/5
Connect one end of the 9 pin Reichert Serial Connector Cable to the serial port of the DENSITY4/5.

Connect the other end of the 9-pin Reichert Serial Connector Cable to the serial port of your Universal
Display.

Connecting DENSITY4/5 and PC
Connect the delivered Reichert Serial Connector Cable with the Reichert serial connector at the rear side
of the device.
Note: The Universal Display can also be connected to any of the USB ports (USB1 through USB4) if the
serial connection is already used. Go to the Settings menu screen to set the USB port used to connect
to the DENSITY4/5.
Connect the other end of the cable with your PC.
Connecting DENSITY4/5 to the local network
Connect an ethernet cable to the LAN port of the DENSITY/5.
Connect the other end of the cable to your network (e.g. router). Contact your system administrator for
detailed information.
