When the desired programme point has been reached, put the control lever for the motor back to the rear position at
the transmitter (motor off). The flight controller signals (depending on how the motor brake has been programmed) by
one sound (motor brake activated) or two sounds (motor brake deactivated) that programming has been successful.
The flight controller is now ready for operation.
d) Undervoltage Recognition per Battery Type
The flight controller has an undervoltage recognition that switches off the motor at a specific voltage per cell depen
-
ding on battery type set. Thus avoids a harmful deep discharge of the flight battery.
The undervoltage recognition cannot be reprogrammed in the voltage values. The voltage values are firmly pre-
programmed according to battery type. The possible settings are described in the subchapters „e“ to „g“.
e) Battery Type „LiPo“
If a LiPo flight battery is used, programme this at the flight controller as well. For LiPo batteries, there will be a single
sound five times in sequence. The deactivation voltage at a LiPo battery is 3.0 V per cell.
f) Battery Type „NiMH“
If an NiMH flight battery is used, programme this at the flight controller as well. For NiMH batteries, there will be a
double sound five times in sequence. The deactivation voltage at a LiPo battery is 0.8 V per cell.
g) Battery Type „LiFe“
If a LiFe flight battery is used, programme this at the flight controller as well. For LiFe batteries, there will be a triple
sound five times in sequence. The deactivation voltage at a LiFe battery is 2.5 V per cell.
h) Motor Timing
This setting influences motor running characteristics (similar to early ignition of a combustion engine). You have the
following setting options: „Auto“ (automatic) and „High“. We recommend always using the setting „Auto“.
Changing motor timing changes very many parameters, including the power values. Therefore, also observe com-
pliance with the motor and flight controller specifications. Also observe the temperatures of the components named
in operation.
If you do not have the corresponding specialist know-how and matching measuring equipment, we recommend the
setting „auto“. In this setting, the best setting used for the motor is automatically set. For the setting „auto“, four sounds
are issued five times. For the setting „high“, five sounds are issued five times.
