The values marked in grey are the basic settings after a reset (see chapter 10. c). The speed controller
of your vehicle at delivery may have a different basic setting; observe the flashes of the red LED and the
corresponding beeps.
Description of the setting functions:
•
Function #1, green LED, flashes 1x short: Drive function
The speed controller can be switched between „forwards/brake“ and „forwards/brake/reverse“ (reverse driving
can thus be switched off). The Setting „Forward/reverse“ should not be used. It is used, e.g., for „Crawler“ vehi-
cles.
•
Function #2, green LED, flashes 2x short: Motor brake
If you reduce the throttle at the transmitter or move back the throttle/brake lever into the neutral position, the vehicle
will slow down automatically. The effect is thus exactly like that of the motor-braking function in a „real“ car when
you release the throttle pedal without stepping on the brake pedal.
This also corresponds to the brake function of a conventional electric motor (a brushless electrical motor does not
have any strong magnets that brake the rotor).
•
Function #3, green LED, flashes 3x short: Undervoltage protection
If LiPo drive batteries are used, then you must ensure that the low-voltage protection is activated (we recommend
at least 3.0 V per cell).
In this vehicle, the two connected LiPo drive batteries are switched in series. If you have connected, for example,
two 2-cell LiPo drive batteries (total voltage fully charged approx. 16.8 V) and programmed a deactivation voltage
of 3.0 V/cell, the speed controller switches off the motor when it measures a voltage of 12.0 V for a duration of
2 seconds (4 cells x 3.0 V). This prevents deep discharge of the LiPo rechargeable batteries. The LED on the speed
controller starts to flash red.
When using two 3-cell LiPo drive batteries (total voltage fully charged approx. 25.2 V) and a deactivation voltage
of 3.0 V/cell, the speed controller switches off the motor when it measures a voltage of 18.0 V for a duration of
2 seconds (6 cells x 3.0 V).
•
Function #4, green LED, flashes 4x short: Start mode when driving off
Depending on this setting, the take-off/start speed is more or less powerful. The higher the set value, the more cur-
rent will the motor pull from the connected battery; it must accordingly be of higher quality.
A higher setting also should only be used on loose underground, since otherwise there will be an overload of the
drive (sprockets, gears, differentials, tyres).
