3.3.3.Temperature Protection Function
Cell Temperature Protection
The temperature sensor detects the surface temperature of the battery cell. When the battery temperature
is higher than 65°C or lower than -5°C, the charging temperature protection is activated and the battery is
stopped from charging; when the battery temperature is higher than 70°C or lower than -30°C, Start the
discharge temperature protection, the battery stops external discharge. For protection parameters, see item
10 of temperature protection parameters in Table 5.
Ambient Temperature Protection
The temperature sensor detects the temperature around the battery pack. When the temperature is higher
than 60°C or lower than -5°C, the charging temperature protection is activated and the battery is stopped
charging; when the temperature is higher than 70 ° C or lower than -20 °C, the discharge temperature is
activated. protection, the battery stops external discharge. For protection parameters, see item 11 of
temperature protection parameters in Table 5.
PCB Overheating Protection
The temperature sensor detects the temperature of the heating element on the PCB board of the BMS. When
the temperature is higher than 115°C, the PCB overheating temperature protection is activated, the battery
charging and discharging actions are stopped, and the operation is resumed after the temperature drops to
the recovery point. For protection parameters, see item 12 of temperature protection parameters in Table 5.
3.3.4.Cell Balancing
Smart Cell Balancing
In battery charging state, when all battery voltages are higher than 3.40V, and the difference between the
highest single-cell voltage and the lowest single-cell voltage is greater than 40mV, the balance is turned on.
