Remove the axle nut and brake ro-

tor.

Remove the hub bearing mounting

hardware from the knuckle. Make

sure to not drop the hub assembly.

Remove the dust shield with the as-

sembly.

Support the LCA with a suitable jack.

Loosen but do not remove the upper

and lower ball joint nuts. Strike the

ball joint boss on the knuckle to dis-

lodge the tapers. Remove the knuck-

le from the upper and lower control

arms.

Mark the CV axle flange to the differ-

ential flange and driver / passenger

side for reinstallation later. Remove

the CV axle hardware. Remove the

CV axle from the vehicle.
