HYDRAULIC LIFTING AND ROTATION SYSTEM
(FIG.12)
The hydraulic system that rotates the brushes, lifts and opens the refuse bin is driven by one gear pump
that is controlled by the main motor. The brush rotation is controlled directly by revolving motors connected in
series. The control of each function is given by a three element control valve.
MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The hydraulic system must have a working pressure of 90 bar with all the brushes lowered and a max. pressure
of 130 bar adjustable by a closed circuit through the pressure relief valve set on the control valve.
1. hydraulic oil temperature sensor
2. hydraulic oil circuit SHUT-OFF cock: Position A= open, Position C= closed.
3. three element control valve
4. pressure relief valve
5. check valve
6. hydraulic oil dipstick stopper
7. hydraulic oil tank
8. hydraulic oil fi lter
CHECK PRESSURE OF THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT
To check the pressure, screw the pressure gauge to the connection on control valve. Move the control valve
lever . Bring the engine to top rpm and check that the pressure gauge does not read more than 130 bar. If this
is not the case, adjust the pressure relief valve.
The whole hydraulic circuit is protected by an hydraulic oil fi lter on the vacuum side. The fi lter is cartridge type.
With a new motor sweeper, the hydraulic oil cartridge should be changed after 20 hours of work.
N.B. The level check is carried out when the oil is hot using dipstick, every 40 hours of work.

10. Pressure gauge
11. Control valve connection
Before changing the cartridge, turn off oil cock and open it again at the end of the check. When a new cartridge
is inserted, make sure that it is exactly the same as the one being removed.
CONTROL VALVE
The control valve unit includes three components. Each of these elements has a cursor which is controlled by
a lever.
