Time Counter
The time counter display shows the actual time elapsed when recording or playing back a tape. The time
counter quickly locates the end of recorded segments. Note the reading when you are finished recording or
playing back a tape. Before you start to record or playback a tape, press the
COUNTER RESET
button to set

For example, you recorded a IO-minute segment. Later, you want to locate the end of your recording. Insert
the cassette and fast-forward the tape until the time counter reads

Memory-Stop Feature
The memory stop feature helps you locate a certain
point on the tape during playback. When memory
stop is turned on, the tape will stop automatically
during rewind or fast forward when the time counter
reaches “A4

3. Locate the place on the tape you want to return to

4. Continue to play the tape. When you want to
return to the place you marked, press
STOP.

REW
(rewind). The tape will rewind to the
time counter reading of

Note:
If you rewind the tape farther back than
a minus will appear in front of the counter.
Tape Remaining Display
The tape remaining display tells you how much
recording time you have left on the tape.
1. Press and hold the small button on
POWER
while
you place it in
CAM.
Press the thumb trigger
(START/STOP
on remote) to start recording.
2.
Press
COUNTER MEM
to change the time
counter to the tape remaining display. After a few
seconds, arrows appear to indicate the amount of
tape remaining on the cassette in the camcorder.
3. After a few seconds the tape remaining display
will switch to the time counter again.
Notes:
Once tape remaining has been calculated, it can
be displayed quickly by pressing
COUNTER
The tape remaining display only operates during
recording.
Ejecting the cassette or placing
POWER
in
OFF
or
PLAY cancels tape remaining.
