12.2 Receiver Activation
The Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) system is an automated six-step process to activate the system.
Using any phone touch-tone pad, dial 1-866-410-4437. The IVR will guide you through the process of
receiver activation. Throughout the process, the IVR will prompt the installer to enter specific information
required to identify the customer record, validate the installer, confirm point of purchase and validate the
customer equipment.
In order to complete the IVR activation, gather the following information:
Customer’s phone number
found in the customer’s paperwork at the dealer
Seller’s ID
, an ID number assigned to the store location
Installer PIN
, a four-digit PIN assigned to the installer
Antenna serial number
, a five-digit serial number found on the bottom of the antenna
SIM card ID
, a twelve-digit number found on the bottom of the receiver (not the CA number)
If an issue is identified, the installer will be automatically routed to a customer service representative for
assistance with the activation procedures. Once the system has been succesfully activated, the Program
Guide will appear on the vehicle’s monitor with channel 001 displayed.
12.3 System Checks
Once receiver activation is complete, verify that the customer’s system is ready for operation.
1. Verify that all broadcast channels are visible and that the radio channels are playing.
2. Press the
ON/OFF
button on the remote to verify that the system goes into standby mode. Turn it back
on again and verify that channel 001 appears in the Program Guide.
3. Turn the vehicle off and make sure that all three lights on the receiver are off. If not, turn the Switch
Bypass on the receiver to the
OFF
position.
